Modern London life can feel fast and frantic, leaving our minds often racing in overdrive. Whilst we can’t always change the world we live in, we can learn to move through it with greater calmness and clarity.

Following the gold-standard, evidence-based Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme, this course will provide practical tools to help lower stress, increase resilience, improve focus and concentration, savour life’s joys and feel more balanced through life’s challenges.

Mindfulness is a form of meditation that enables us to live our lives with greater awareness; being open to our present-moment experience rather than buffeted around by the busyness of our minds. Through sustained practice we can access calmness and clarity and meet ourselves with greater kindness amidst life’s challenges.

This 8-week course provides a comprehensive introduction to mindfulness and practical tools for incorporating it into every-day life.

Each session comprises of:

  • Information and theory about what mindfulness is and how it can support mental, emotional and physical wellbeing
  • Both short and longer mindfulness practices (some are seated, some moving, some lying down) to support you between sessions. Seated practices can be taken on a chair or meditation cushions.
  • The opportunity for discussion and reflection on the practices taken.

Participants are provided with handouts and recorded practices to support them throughout.

The course is limited to 12 participants. Please note that to achieve the full benefits of this course, participants are asked to set aside 30 minutes, 5 days a week, to practice at home between sessions.

Due to the nature of mindfulness-based practices, this course may not be suitable for everyone. Therefore we request that all participants speak to Anna prior to booking on the course.
