Yoga & Mindfulness for Children
Yoga & Mindfulness for Children at The Life Centre Islington with Ayala Homossany
Yoga & Mindfulness Classes for Children at The Life Centre Islington
From the day they are born, children are practising yoga. The yoga and mindfulness classes that we offer to children at The Life Centre are designed to maintain the inherent yoga abilities children have within them. We explore the magic of yoga and mindfulness in a playful and a non-competitive environment and embark on a journey that will elevate your child’s confidence, self-awareness , co-ordination and concentration, maintain their creativity, strengthen their physical abilities and increases their flexibility. In every session we learn how to use our breath as a monitor to our feelings and emotions and we finish our classes with creative guided relaxation.
The class takes place every Tuesday during term time at the following times:
4-4.45pm for 4-7 year olds
5-5.45pm for 8-12 year olds
The class fee is £7.

Meet the Teachers
Meet Michael James Wong, founder of BOYS OF YOGA
“To most guys, yoga is pink lycra and vegan chicks. It’s breathing deeply while doing poses named after animals and feelings. It’s done in dimly lit rooms with candles and incense, followed by gluten-free cupcakes and kale smoothies. And if that’s your mentality then you’re not alone. But it doesn’t mean it’s right,” says Michael Wong, founder of BOYS OF YOGA. Read the full interview here:
