Yoga for Kids
Starting September 2016, we will be offering Yoga for Kids classes on Tuesdays at The Life Centre Islington.
Yoga for Kids Classes at The Life Centre Islington
From the day they are born, children are practising yoga. The yoga classes that we offer to children at The Life Centre are designed to maintain the inherent yoga abilities children have within them. We explore the magic of yoga in a playful and a non-competitive environment and embark on a journey that will elevate your child’s confidence, co-ordination and concentration, maintain their creativity, strengthen their physical abilities and increases their flexibility. We finish our classes with creative guided relaxation.
The first class of the autumn term will be on Tuesday 13 September 2016 and the course will run every Tuesday for six weeks at the following times:
4-4.45pm for 4-6 year olds
5-5.45pm for 7-9 year olds
The class fee is our community rate of £7.
Term dates for Spring 2017 are:
10 Jan to 7th Feb (5 weeks) (starting one week later than school term)
14th Feb – Half term (no class)
21st Feb to 28th March (6 weeks)
4th + 11th April Easter holidays (no classes)

The class will be broken down into the 5 characteristic elements of Jivamukti Yoga: shastra (scripture), bhakti (devotion), ahimsa (non-violence, non-harming), nāda (music/sound), and dhyana (meditation). There will be time to ask questions.
