Taking off our Armour: A Heart Opening Evening

Taking off our armour is a Buddhist phrase for the work we do to open up; being present means being vulnerable. The yoga mat is a safe and sacred space for making steps towards opening our hearts. We will use mindfulness to stay connected with the emotional body during our physical practice, making space for the heart to open.
One of the most life-changing benefits of our yoga practice, and the aim of most spiritual practice is to open the heart and learn to stay open. This workshop combines vinyasa flow and restorative yoga, taught with options for every level of experience and energy. The sequencing creates an energizing and nourishing balance for body, heart and mind. The dynamic and fluid poses offer the movement we need to get more in touch with our physical bodies, building our sensitivity and flexibility. The stillness and quiet of the restorative poses will help relax us and give the foundation for a heart-centered closing meditation.
This workshop is appropriate for all levels.
