Beginners’ Courses

If you are new to yoga, or simply curious, we offer regular beginners' courses on Monday evening and Saturday lunchtime at Notting Hill and Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoon at Islington, suitable for complete beginners and for anyone looking to brush up on their yoga basics. Courses normally run for six consecutive weeks and must be booked in advance either online or by contacting reception

These courses will introduce you to the basic philosophy behind yoga and will teach you the basic techniques of breathing and bodily alignment, as well as introducing you to some of the yoga postures and sequences of postures which you are most likely to encounter in level 1 or all levels classes, gentle yoga classes or restorative classes. Although level 1, all levels, gentle and restorative classes are open to beginners, we strongly recommend that all complete beginners to yoga attend a beginners' course, to equip you for regular classes.

If you are keen to start yoga but are unable to attend a beginners' course, please speak to one of our receptionists who will be able to advise on which general classes will be particularly suitable for you.
