In this course, students will receive personal attention from an experienced teacher week to week providing an ideal environment for learning.  Building upon the core poses and working at a pace that ensures learning, students will build strength and knowledge, as well as cultivate greater mental clarity and calm.

The Beginners Course is the ideal way to begin your practice and discover yoga in a safe and fun space.  Perfect for beginners, people who like to learn sequentially or anyone looking to revisit the fundamentals of yoga. On completion of the course you will have the experience, confidence and knowledge to attend any of The Life Centre’s Yoga Level 1 or Level 1-2 classes.

This six week beginners course has been crafted for students interested in Yoga and Mindfulness.

Sandi will give a brief talk each week on the History of Yoga, Basic Anatomy of Breathing, Yoga Theory and Philosophy. Practice will cover the the classic body of yoga postures in a safe and relaxed environment where questions are welcomed and Mindfulness is facilitated. A focus on healthy alignment and Pranayama (breathing practices) will help cultivate strength and understanding as well as cultivate greater mental clarity and calm.

Students will receive personal attention and individual needs will be supported. 

These sessions are non competitive and a great opportunity to encourage you to carve-out time for your own well being.

This 5 week course introduces the classic body of yoga postures (asanas) and basic sequences, including sun salutations. A focus on healthy alignment principles and an introduction to breathing practices (pranayama) will help build strength, flexibility and create a foundation for your yoga practice.
