Pascale Aebischer

Pascale came to Pilates to address the postural issues which were increasingly affecting her day to day life. What she found was a discipline which immediately made sense to her, allowing her body to get stronger and reawakening a love of movement and a curiosity which she had almost forgotten.


She became determined to challenge and explore the limits that she had put on what her body could do deciding very soon to train with Anoushka Boone, with whom she has also completed the Pilates studio and apparatus training. Pascale’s classes are both fun and challenging as she is always seeking new ways of improving your body's condition and understanding of good, strong movement.

    Yoga Nidra translates as Yogic Sleep. It is state of physical and mental relaxation, between wakefulness and deep sleep and the objective is to cultivate that state, without falling asleep. It is used as a relaxation practice, also a form of meditation, treatment for stress and anxiety and purification of the negative habits of mind. It is generally practised lying in savasana, but can be done sitting, or semi-reclining. This can help one remain conscious and aware if there is a tendency to fall asleep.

    This form of yoga nidra was devised by Swami Satyananda from an ancient tantric practice and includes eight verbally guided stages. The eight stages are: Internalisation, Sankalpa (intention), Rotation of Consciousness, Breath Awareness, Manifestation of Opposites, Creative Visualization, Sankalpa repeated and Externalisation.

    Teen Yoga Slumber Party (£15)Book Now

    This workshop will take the style of a slumber party. It will begin with a bit of activity and excitement as we undertake a sun salutation challenge (guided yoga warm-up sequence) to music, seeing how many can be done in 30 minutes.

    This will be followed by some cooldown exercises before we set up our ‘yoga armchair’ (a posture using props) to get comfy to watch a short film, with a yoga theme. Afterwards, we’ll have a brief chat amongst ourselves about the film.

    Finally, prepare to do nothing ... and move into some deep relaxation - snoozing is allowed!

    Like all good slumber parties, we’ll end with a ‘midnight feast’ with snacks and refreshments served around 8pm.

    Wear comfy clothes. Blankets and other homely comforts will be provided.

    All proceeds from this workshop will go to the Teen Yoga Foundation, which is helping to spread the benefits of yoga to young people around the world.

    In some Asian and African cultures babies have been massaged everyday from birth for centuries. Baby massage is recognised in the West today to give babies a great start in life.

    Developmental Baby massage works with the muscles and joints to achieve all the benefits of orthodox massage while helping the baby to fulfil her structural and physiological potential at each stage of development from birth to standing.

    Baby Massage classes with Alice are small with personal attention to each baby (maximum 15 babies in a class). Alice uses a doll to demonstrate baby massage techniques, which parents and carers then practise on their babies. The class starts with a warm up followed by a full body massage. Lying on their backs the babies have their feet massaged first, then the massage moves up to the legs, belly chest and arms. Babies have plenty of time on their bellies as well as a chance to sit, squat and stand supported. At the end of each session mums, dads or carers have the opportunity to have an informal discussion with tea and biscuits, while the babies either sleep, feed or just chill out. Soft baby gymnastics can also be demonstrated for babies that are on the move.

    Restorative poses are practised in a passive state with various props so the body can feel supported, rested and nurtured. Specific poses offered at each class will focus on a different theme, however, all the systems of the body benefit from this deep relaxation. Some of the measurable results of relaxation are the reduction of blood pressure and the improvement of immune function, as well as improvement in digestion, fertility, and the reduction of muscle tension and general fatigue. After preparing the physical body through relaxation, participants are then guided through Yoga Nidra.

    Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation, and can be a deep form of relaxation. Generally practised in Savasana, it can also be done semi-reclining or sitting.

    This five week beginners course has been crafted for students interested in Yoga and Mindfulness.

    Sandi will give a brief talk each week on the History of Yoga, Basic Anatomy of Breathing, Yoga Theory and Philosophy. Practice will cover the the classic body of yoga postures in a safe and relaxed environment where questions are welcomed and Mindfulness is facilitated. A focus on healthy alignment and Pranayama (breathing practices) will help cultivate strength and understanding as well as cultivate greater mental clarity and calm.

    Baby Massage classes with Alice are small with personal attention to each baby (maximum 15 babies in a class). Alice uses a doll to demonstrate baby massage techniques, which parents and carers then practise on their babies. The class starts with a warm up followed by a full body massage. Lying on their backs the babies have their feet massaged first, then the massage moves up to the legs, belly chest and arms. Babies have plenty of time on their bellies as well as a chance to sit, squat and stand supported. At the end of each session mums, dads or carers have the opportunity to have an informal discussion with tea and biscuits, while the babies either sleep, feed or just chill out. Soft baby gymnastics can also be demonstrated for babies that are on the move.

    Yoga Nidra translates as Yogic Sleep. It is state of physical and mental relaxation, between wakefulness and deep sleep and the objective is to cultivate that state, without falling asleep. It is used as a relaxation practice, also a form of meditation, treatment for stress and anxiety and purification of the negative habits of mind. It is generally practised lying in savasana, but can be done sitting, or semi-reclining. This can help one remain conscious and aware if there is a tendency to fall asleep.

    This form of yoga nidra was devised by Swami Satyananda from an ancient tantric practice and includes eight verbally guided stages.     Join Eunice for an evening of nourishing, women-centred practice.

    This restorative workshop aims to re-establish, or deepen connection to your body in a respectful, female-supported space. Classes will begin with gentle movement, welcoming you back to your body, followed by an invitation to transition into quietness with a nurturing Yoga Nidra Meditation.

    The practice has been designed to be sensitive to the needs of all women, and works in the framework of trauma awareness. It hopes to foster a sense of being steady in your body without being overwhelmed by intrusive thoughts. Through mindful movements, the practice will support you to observe any physical sensations that may surface, promoting your resilience and self-trust as you learn to allow feelings and emotions to rise and pass by.

    No prior experience of yoga is necessary. Please dress in a way you find comfortable. Water and tea is available at the studio.

    At the end of the workshop you will have an opportunity to journal, which may prove a beneficial way to unload your thoughts. Notebooks and pencils will be provided should you wish to make use of these resources.

    Eunice hopes to encourage a sense of community and as such, tea, fruit, chocolate and company will be available at the end of the evening.

    Eunice’s earnings will go directly to Movement for Healing, a survivor-led, women-centred yoga programme for survivors of sexual trauma, working with various support and advocacy organisations in London.
