Having grown up in a small village surrounded by the sea, London can feel aggressively fast and, despite millions of people, not a habitat for humans. The Life Centre provides a space of calm and stillness in a noise and speed rich city. A sense of community in a fractured urban environment. Without The Life Centre and its wonderful teachers I would probably have had to leave London years ago in search of the calm, space, stillness and connection that it's possible to find even in a huge city.
