Peter Sterios is an internationally recognised yoga teacher whose teaching reflects over 30 years of study in the US and India. His yoga practice began as therapy for numerous sports injuries, and is a unique style of hatha yoga, inspired by chi-gung and south Indian dance.
Peter lives and teaches in Santa Monica, California where he is director of Tryoga (no relation!!), a comprehensive yoga school and body therapy centre. A writer and former contributing editor for Yoga Journal, he has been featured in their yoga calendars, Beginners Column, Master Class Column and website and has taught at numerous Yoga Journal conferences, as well as teaching workshops and teacher trainings worldwide. His first DVD "Gravity and Grace", released in 2007, captures the simplicity and depth of hatha yoga, guiding heart, mind and body to a sacred space of the present moment.
During this special workshop, we will explore how gravity influences our practice and discover the principles of non-muscular effort, which strengthen our intuition and provide us with a personal experience of the feeling minds (heart and navel centres). This experience is essential for a yoga practice, which prepares you for the magical experience of grace, and the development of your own personal "inner teacher".
